Bulkheads and backbone epoxy filletted to hull skin and all surfaces of skin sealed with at least two coats of epoxy.

Slabs of styrofoam insulation close-fitted between stringers and glued to hull skin. Before doing this work the openings through the hull for portholes must be cut and trimmer frames fitted around them as can be seen in the photo.

Plywood inner skin fitted. The plywood is presealed with two coats of epoxy on the hidden face before fitting.

Inner skin epoxy filletted to backbone and bulkheads.

Engine compartment under aft berth. There is no insulation or inner hull skin in this area. The backbone is cut out of this compartment and replaced by the engine beds, which are built up from multiple layers of plywood.
